E. San Gabriel Hospice Opens

The $4-million Hospice of East San Gabriel Valley--the first free-standing hospice in the Southland--has opened at 820 N. Phillips Ave., West Covina.
The 22,000-square-foot facility for the terminally ill and their families was designed for Inter-Community Medical Center Foundation Inc. by Bobrow/Thomas and Associates, Westwood.
J. W. Smith Associates Inc., West Covina, was the contractor. The facility has 10 patient rooms, kitchen, dining areas and a chapel.
