Texas El Paso 66, Brigham Young 63--Eddie Williams hit both ends of a 1-and-1 with eight seconds to play for UTEP.
Chris Sandle scored 18 points and Tim Hardaway 14 for UTEP (23-8) which beat BYU on its home floor for the second time in the last seven days. BYU (25-5) was led by Michael Smith with 20 points.
