BOSTON — Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr. is in a West German clinic undergoing surgery for eye problems as his trial on fraud charges continues in federal court here, his defense attorney said Friday.
Attorney Olin Anderson said LaRouche entered the unidentified clinic Thursday and would be hospitalized for five days for treatment of cataracts and myopia.
LaRouche, several associates and some of his political organizations are on trial on charges that they defrauded contributors to his 1984 presidential campaign.
