Zambia’s ambassador to the United States, Nalumino Mundia, will speak at 6:30 p.m. today at Los Angeles Southwest College on expanded trade between his country and the United States. The free event, which is part of the college’s international exchange program, will be held in the campus Little Theater and is open to the public.
During his visit at the campus, Mundia and college officials will discuss proposals to establish a student exchange program between Southwest College and Zambia. Southwest students in the program would be able to earn a semester of credit by taking courses at schools in Lusaka, Zambia’s capital, said Mary Borell, administrator of international programs at the community college.
She said Southwest already has a semester-abroad program with Cambridge, England, that is open to both students and community residents.
