Point Loma 78, Granite Hills 13--Seventeen players saw action and 10 scored for host Point Loma (26-2), which led at the half, 40-6. Monica Filer scored 29 and Chris Drumm 15 for Point Loma, which plays Monte Vista Saturday.
Poway 58, Mira Mesa 51--With four minutes left, Poway trailed, 51-46. But Jill Brawner, who scored 10 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter, led a 12-0 streak for Poway. Lynell Stokes added 15 points for Poway (14-10). Mira Mesa finished at 11-16.
Patrick Henry 81, Orange Glen 59-- Host Patrick Henry’s balance overcame Laura Hughes’ 41 points. For Patrick Henry (16-5), which plays Vista Saturday, Susan Hawke scored 22, Sorrii Epps and Stephanie Riley each scored 20. Orange Glen finished at 13-12.
Bonita Vista 58, San Dieguito 39-- Amie Roberts scored 23, Torril Purvis 13 and Stacy Eklund 10 for host Bonita Vista (21-14), which plays Mt. Carmel Saturday. Shannon Holeva scored 15 and Julie Brown 12 for San Dieguito (7-16).
Vista 72, Morse 35--Chris Enger had 35 points, 12 rebounds and 11 blocked shots as host and No. 3 seeded Vista (22-5) romped. Kelly Schott had 14 points, 11 assists and 5 steals for Vista.
Mt. Carmel 73, Chula Vista 49--Mt. Carmel (21-4) took an early lead thanks to a full-court press and numerous Chula Vista (8-15) turnovers. Mt. Carmel’s Lynda Jones had 20 of her 22 points in the first half.
Monte Vista 58, Southwest 49--Melissa Smith and Diana Clough each scored 20 points for Monte Vista (19-6). Toni Beckman scored 19 for Southwest.
