Watson Land Co., based in Carson, has reported leasing more than 1 million square feet of industrial space in 1987 at its industrial centers in the South Bay area, valued at $45 million to $50 million.
“Our leasing activity this year reflects the continuing demand by Pacific Rim and defense-related companies requiring large industrial facilities for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution,” said Richard M. Cannon, president of Watson Land Co.
The developer has under construction four additional industrial buildings consisting of 430,000 square feet at Watson Industrial Center South and Watson Alameda Industrial Center in the South Bay.
