Officials from Radford University in Virginia have agreed to host the Cornerstone Theater Co. next month, after Radford public school officials canceled appearances at a junior high and elementary school because the group had performed for and with AIDS patients. The troupe will perform Shakespeare’s comedy, “A Midsummer’s Night Dream,” at the university free to the public on Feb. 3. Earlier that same day, a Cornerstone spokesman said, the company will perform for children after school hours at a yet-to-be-announced location.
