Movies of ’88

As I tried to make my way through your inexhaustible list of 1988 coming attractions for the silver screen (“Sneaks ‘88,” by Pat H. Broeske and David Pecchia, Jan. 17), I noticed there were many more men than women in the accompanying photos--72 to 31.
Since there are more women than men on the Earth, why can’t the movies reflect that simple phenomenon?
