Decision by UCLA’s Foster Actually Makes Sense
- Share via
To all of the critics who want Walt Hazzard’s job, let’s hear their answer to the Greg Foster problem. Here’s a 7-foot center whose bad attitude and/or laziness costs them the North Carolina game and then quits the team in a temper tantrum before the Pac-10 opener.
Do you pamper Baby Foster at the expense of team rules? Do you let him go, giving up a 7-foot center. Or do you punish him and have him blow up even more, disrupting even more the team’s development?
It’s easy to bad-mouth a losing coach, but how do you make a team player out of a teen-age prima donna? Coach Hazzard will appreciate all suggestions.
