Rock Slide Kills Man on N.Y. State Thruway

ELMSFORD, N.Y. — Tons of rocks and debris crashed down Thursday on the New York State Thruway, killing one man and closing the southbound lanes of the roadway, state officials said. The rock slide reportedly occurred when a large section of a 100-foot cliff fell onto two of the three southbound lanes.
