Rep. Latta of Ohio Won’t Seek a 16th Term

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Rep. Delbert L. Latta (R-Ohio) co-author of President Reagan’s first-term budget cuts, announced today he would not seek reelection to a 16th term.
Latta, 67, the ranking Republican on the House Rules and Budget committees, is a member of the GOP leadership team that meets periodically with Reagan on legislative matters. Latta underwent a triple coronary bypass operation in 1986.
