A photograph shown on a local television station led to the arrest of a 51-year-old woman who is on San Diego’s 10 Most Wanted Criminals list.
Fugitive Catherine Worley--also known as Frances Worley and Frances C. McKenzie--was arrested by San Diego police Friday afternoon in the 200 block of Main Street in Ramona.
San Diego police said they received several calls about Worley’s whereabouts after a picture of her was aired on a television crime-stoppers spot.
“The information of those tips led police to her being taken into custody,” San Diego police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
Worley is suspected of embezzling $171,000 from a local company where she worked as a corporate officer. She was arrested on two warrants and charged with forgery and grand theft. Her bail was set at $250,000.
The two other females on the San Diego 10 Most Wanted List and still at large are Kellie Ann Parkhurst, 31, wanted on weapons violations and narcotics, and Karen Louise Wilkening, alias Karen Perling, 41, wanted for pandering.
