Tilting at Forbes

I was mildly amused by your report on a Forbes cover story regarding the supposed leftist political slant of the Hollywood community (“Forbes Attacks ‘Leftist’ Tilt in Hollywood” by Michael Cieply, Jan. 11).
This is the same paragon of political and economic analysis that sent me (and undoubtedly thousands of other small investors) a lengthy form letter touting their analytical skills and making several predictions regarding the U.S. economy.
Most notable among these was the prediction that the Dow Jones would soon hit 3,000. I received this a full 10 days after the Oct. 19 market crash sent the Dow plummeting 508 points.
So you can see why I place a lot of weight in what I read in Forbes magazine. Hey, Forbes, see ya in the funny papers.
