The Sacramento NAACP chapter has created a task force on “Racial Tolerance in Sacramento” after the fatal police shooting of a black man the group said was unable to get treatment for mental illness. Veteran police Officer Bill Poe shot 30-year-old Gregory Reed in a south Sacramento apartment house parking lot Tuesday morning after Reed attacked Poe and the two struggled for the officer’s semiautomatic pistol, according to police.
