Telex Corp. removed an obstacle to Asher B. Edelman’s $876-million bid for the company by dropping its legal battle, a move analysts said was intended to test the seriousness of the financier’s offer. Telex said it will withdraw an appeal of a federal court decision handed down earlier that denied the computer company’s motion to block Edelman’s offer. Edelman declined to comment on the Telex announcement.
