The Christiana Cos. reported a $143,000 net profit for the first quarter ended Sept. 30, the San Diego-based company’s first profitable quarter in more than a year, according to President Raymond F. Logan. The company reported a $116,000 net loss during the first quarter of the previous fiscal year. Revenue fell to $1 million for the quarter, down from $9.1 million during the previous first quarter.
Christiana also said Sheldon B. Lubar, a director and senior partner of Milwaukee-based Lubar & Co., was elected chairman and chief executive of the company, filling a 14-month vacancy. Joseph Antonowof Chicago and Daniel Cowin of New York, were re-elected to three-year terms.
