Buena Park’s Hirsch Retires From Coaching

Dan Hirsch, Buena Park High School’s cross-country coach for 16 years, said he will retire from coaching at the end of the season.
Hirsch’s teams are 95-11 in Freeway League dual meets and 112-16-1 in overall dual meets.
Hirsch guided the Coyotes to 10 Freeway League championships and had a winning streak of 56 dual meets from 1975 to 1985, and his teams have been ranked in the top 10 of the Southern Section 3-A for the last 15 years.
He will continue at Buena Park as boys’ athletic director, a position he has held since 1985.
