Plight of the Homeless
The article by former anchorwoman Jacki King was a novel and gripping piece on the homeless. Slipping through the cracks during a crisis is probably more common than not. People may choose not to accept certain support systems. But the scary truth is that intensely ethical souls lose sight of coping mechanisms and support systems, foundering in a tragic spiral, which tugged at my emotional strings.
We all go through great personal or business losses--that’s life--but the ability to survive and gain momentum is as much a psychological and physical battle as well as financial war. . . . We must start teaching our children that the human spirit should not be pigeonholed by a job or title.
