More than $50,000 was raised for ailing jazz great Woody Herman at an all-star, four-hour tribute at UCLA’s Wadsworth Theater on Friday, concert organizers said Tuesday. Herman remains in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with emphysema and heart problems. Proceeds from the tribute will go toward paying Herman’s hospital bills.
