Doctors in Midland, Tex., found more improvement in Jessica McClure’s right foot while First Lady Nancy Reagan sent the toddler a get well message. Jessica, who was trapped 58 hours in a dry well, was examined Wednesday morning at Midland Memorial Hospital, hospital spokeswoman Sue Riston said. “They took off the bandages and said the foot continues to improve,” Riston said, “but they are evaluating it on a daily basis. Amputation remains a possibility.” Mrs. Reagan, recuperating from cancer surgery, wrote a personal note to Jessica and sent her a stuffed dog.
