Boeing Aerospace has formed a new subsidiary to foster commercial ventures in outer space in a move to remain a leader in the field. Based in Arlington, Va., the subsidiary has been named Boeing Commercial Space Development Co. It was incorporated in Wilmington, Del., in July. Gilbert Keyes, president of the new company, said the subsidiary is chartered to invest in, own or develop individual or joint ventures in space.
