What Is the Best?

I am saddened to see well-meaning but overzealous parents raise the racial prejudice banner over their son’s rejection to UC Berkeley. Rejection is always difficult, but life is full of choosing alternatives when Plan One does not work. Parents and educators need to remind their young adults of this reality and not impede their growth with unrealistic demands.
