Waterhouse Second in Junior World Golf

SAN DIEGO — Jennifer Waterhouse of Laguna Niguel is in second place after she shot a 61 in the girls’ 10-and-under division during the first round of the Junior World Golf Championships Tuesday at the Torrey Pines North Course.
Waterhouse is one stroke behind leader Carmelette Villaroman of Ilegan, Philippines, at the Presidio Hills course.
Kevin Kemp of Greensboro, N.C., and Manuel Zerman of Durban, South Africa, were tied for first after 2-over-par 70s on the Torrey Pines South course. Sacramento’s Bill Moore was one stroke behind at 71.
The 15-17 divisions conclude Thursday at Torrey Pines, and all other divisions conclude today.
