The Pentagon suspended ITT’s Gilfillan Division.

The temporary suspension of the Van Nuys-based unit from receiving new military contracts follows a Massachusetts grand jury’s indictment of Gilfillan for conspiracy to defraud the Defense Department. The June 24 indictment charged the division, which bids on radar equipment contracts, and one of its former marketing executives with conspiring to provide sports tickets and other favors to government employees in order to obtain confidential information for use in Gilfillan’s contract bids. Gilfillan, which is cooperating with the investigation, said it was “disappointed that we received the suspension and we have every confidence that Gilfillan will be reinstated as a responsible contractor.”
