E. German Guard Flees

WEST BERLIN — An East German border guard, dodging about 30 rounds of gunfire, has fled across the fortified border to West Berlin, police said Wednesday. They said the man wore a camouflage suit as he ran through Spandau forest in northwest Berlin to make his escape on Monday but gave no further details.
