An auto garage worker shot a 9-year-old boy with a stun gun Monday after he caught the boy and some friends throwing rocks at the garage, police said.
Javier Torrez, 30, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, but he was later released. “There’s going to be no prosecution,” said San Diego Police Sgt. Jerry Callaway. “I guess it was over a neighborhood dispute. There were no injuries.”
Torrez allegedly caught the boy after he threw rocks at the garage in the 900 block of South 30th Street, set him on a battery charger, and shot him in the leg with a 50,000-volt stun gun.
Paramedics examined the boy and released him to his parents.
