The pact on a seniority list was worked out by a committee of three Delta mechanics and three former Western Airlines mechanics. Delta bought Western late last year, and the two airlines merged in April. The seniority list, a Delta spokesman said, was integrated on the basis of length of service. Delta said it was not required to follow this procedure because its mechanics are non-union. Earlier, pilots of the two airlines reached agreement on seniority; flight attendants are still in negotiations on the matter.
