A Norwalk man believed to have been under the influence of PCP died after a scuffle with Beverly Hills police, who had subdued him with a Taser “stun” gun. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office had not determined the cause of death. Police said that the man, whose name was being withheld, had been acting in a bizarre manner at Beverly Boulevard and Civic Center Drive and attacked officers who approached him. They subsequently subdued him with a single shot from the gun. When they handcuffed him, the officers noticed he had stopped breathing.
