Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who died after he walked onto the Santa Ana Freeway Thursday night and was struck by three cars.
The man, described by the coroner’s office as a Latino, about 40 years old, 5-foot-9 and weighing 200 pounds, stepped off the center median on Interstate 5 into northbound traffic north of the Euclid Street off-ramp in Anaheim. The incident occurred about 9:30 p.m., officials said.
The man was wearing blue jeans, a burgundy sport shirt under a mustard-colored jacket and a yellow baseball cap, authorities said. He carried no identification. Deputy Coroner Dan Aiken asked anyone with information about the man to call the coroner’s office at (714) 834-4392.
