Italian fans of David Bowie clashed with riot police Tuesday night when they tried to force their way into his open-air concert in a Rome stadium. Police fired tear gas to disperse the crowd and reported several people were injured slightly in the clashes but no arrests were made. The trouble started outside the Flaminio sports stadium in north Rome when a group of fans without tickets tried to push through the entrance gates.Later, tour organizers opened the gates to calm the crowd. In similar clashes outside Bowie’s open-air concert in the northern Italian city of Milan last week, more than 30 people were injured when fans threw stones, bottles and fireworks.
