How School Districts Stand on Adopting Building Fees

Here is a list of Southeast Los Angeles County school districts and the actions they have taken on construction fees:

ABC Unified: Expected to vote on the fees this summer.

Bellflower Unified: Does not expect to enact fees.

Compton Unified: Approved fees of $1.50 per square foot for residential and 25 cents per square foot for commercial and industrial construction.

Downey Unified: Approved fees of 50 cents per square foot for residential and 25 cents per square foot for commercial and industrial construction. Exemptions granted for senior citizen housing and residential additions.

East Whittier: Will consider adopting fees at school board meeting Tuesday.

El Rancho Unified: Expected to vote on fees this summer.

Little Lake Unified: Approved fees of $1.50 per square foot for residential and 25 cents per square foot for commercial and industrial construction.

Long Beach Unified: Approved fees of $1.50 per square foot for residential and 25 cents per square foot for commercial and industrial construction.

Los Nietos: Delayed action until later this summer.

Lynwood Unified: Approved fees of $1.50 per square foot for residential and 25 cents for industrial and commercial construction.

Montebello Unified: Approved fees of $1.50 per square foot for residential and 25 cents per square foot for industrial and commercial construction.

Norwalk-La Mirada Unified: Has not approved fees.

Paramount Unified: Approved fees of $1.50 per square foot for residential and 25 cents per square foot for commercial and industrial construction.

South Whittier: Approved fees of $1.50 per square foot for residential and 25 cents per square foot for commercial and industrial construction.

Whittier City: Approved fees of $1.50 per square foot for residential and 25 cents per square foot for commercial and industrial construction.

Whittier Union: Approved fees of $1.50 per square foot for residential and 25 cents per square foot for commercial and industrial construction.
