La Quinta’s Brian Joe to Attend Mesa College

Brian Joe, a 6-foot 10-inch All-Garden Grove League center from La Quinta High School, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colo., according to La Quinta Coach Jim Perry.
Joe averaged 14 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocked shots a game last season.
He will leave June 23 to become a member of the Taiwan national basketball team for players ages 19 and under. The team will compete in the world junior basketball championships in July in Italy.
