Duarte : Audit Panel Disbanded
The City Council has voted to disband the Audit Review Committee, established last September to review city finances and examine councilmen’s expense statements.
At the time the council established the committee of five residents, it also adopted a tougher expense accounting system after an audit showed that no recepits had been turned in for 40% of the expenses for which City Council members were reimbursed during the 1985-86 fiscal year. Members’ terms were scheduled to expire this month.
