Four charges of theft by deception against distance running star Henry Rono have been dropped, his lawyer, Merrill Rubin, confirmed.
Rono, the world record-holder for 3,000 meters and the 3,000-meter steeplechase, had been charged with bilking money from tellers in four New Jersey banks between June 2 and Oct. 28 last year.
