West Los Angeles : Hearing on Coastal Programs
- Share via
The federal government will hold a public hearing today on the California coastal management program and its administration by the California Coastal Commission and the State Coastal Conservancy from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Hyatt Los Angeles Airport, 6225 Century Blvd.
The hearing is part of a review by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of Ocean and Coastal Resources Management that is examining coastal program activities between August, 1984, and April, 1987.
The state’s coastal program receives about $2.5 million each year in federal money, most of which helps support the Coastal Commission. The review will also examine the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission. Other hearings are being held this week throughout the state.
