Without discussion, Los Angeles County supervisors ordered the drafting of a new ordinance requiring public restrooms at all new service stations in the county’s unincorporated areas. Supervisor Mike Antonovich said he proposed the ordinance to respond to the increasing conversion of service stations to self-service and mini-market operations without public restrooms.
