Los Angeles County Supervisor Ed Edelman released revised figures on the number of new confirmed AIDS cases in the county in March. The revised number of cases is 155, rather than 139 as reported earlier. Edelman attributed the change to a clerical error by the Department of Health Services. The corrected total represents an increase of four cases over the number reported in February. As of March 31, there were 2,965 confirmed cases in the county; 2,949 adults, and 16 children all under the age of 5. The county death toll from acquired immune deficiency syndrome is 1,807.
