USD Players Win in WCAC

The University of San Diego’s top-seeded team of Scott Patridge and J.R. Edwards defeated Tony Del Rosario and Frank Seitz of Santa Clara, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, Saturday to advance to the semifinals of the West Coast Athletic Conference men’s tennis championships at Santa Clara.
In singles play, USD’s Jim McNamee and Edwards advanced to today’s semifinals with victories Saturday. McNamee defeated Grant Saacks of Pepperdine, 6-2, 6-2. Edwards defeated David Klembis of Pepperdine, 7-6, 3-6, 6-4.
McNamee will meet No. 2-seeded Robbie Weiss of Pepperdine and Edwards will face top-seeded Andrew Sznaidjer of Pepperdine.
