Cat Up the Pole: Who Is at Risk?

Re “The Cat on the Telephone Pole” (Letters, April 19):

Being fond of animals and an 18-year firefighting veteran, I offer the following proposals to all the disgusted animal lovers:

When was the last time you saw a cat skeleton in a tree or on a pole?

Would you like to have your local $250,000 piece of fire equipment and personnel tied up while your home, business or life was being threatened by fire?

I don’t think so.
