Motorist Dies in Crash: An 18-year-old La Habra man died Friday after apparently losing control of his car and crashing head-on into a concrete wall at the Chapman Avenue underpass beneath the Santa Ana Freeway, police said. Gilbert Armando Nava was pronounced dead at UCI Medical Center shortly after the 10:46 p.m. accident, Orange Police Sgt. Mike Pollok said. Nava, who was not wearing a seat belt, apparently lost control of the 1984 Thunderbird he was driving as he headed eastbound into a curve beneath the overpass, Pollok said.
