Sen. Bill Bradley (D-N.J.) and nine other Senate Finance Committee members introduced legislation to expand services that allow the elderly to receive necessary medical care at home. Bradley said the bill would protect home health services that Medicare recipients currently receive, while addressing new problems caused by early discharge from hospitals. It also would clarify benefits and remove ambiguities that allow the Department of Health and Human Services to restrict home care services, he said.
