Azusa Pacific demolished The Master’s College, 25-0, in an NAIA District III game Tuesday at Azusa.
Azusa Pacific exploded for 26 hits, nine for extra bases.
Ralph Acosta was 4 for 5 with three runs batted in and Ron Faulkner was 4 for 5 with two RBIs to lead Azusa Pacific (15-8 in district).
The Cougars scored in every inning and Paul Weaver (7-2) tossed a three-hitter over five innings to earn the win.
“We just couldn’t stop them today,” Master’s Coach John Zeller said. “It was one of those games where they did everything well, and they deserved to win. They played well and they hit well. We beat them earlier in the year at home, but they have been impossible at their home.”

Master’s dropped to 22-18, 14-5 in district.
SOFTBALL
Cal State Northridge clinched a tie for the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. championship when host UC Riverside forfeited a doubleheader, 7-0, 1-0.
With Northridge batting in the top of the third inning of the first game, CSUN’s Barb Flynn collided with UC Riverside catcher Stephanie Grootboed on a play at home that injured Grootboed and left Riverside with only eight players. Riverside Coach Doug Urda then decided to forfeit both games to the Matadors.
Northridge (41-6, 16-2 in conference) can clinch the title outright by winning one game of a doubleheader against second-place Bakersfield on Saturday.
Northridge’s Priscilla Rouse led off the third inning with a solo home run. Kelly Winn added a run-scoring double and Flynn’s single drove in two more runs for CSUN in the inning.
Delanee Anderson (13-2) was credited with the win in the first game.
MEN’S TENNIS
Cal State Northridge (11-9, 7-5 in conference) defeated Cal State Los Angeles, 5-1, in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. match at Northridge. The match was ended after singles play by mutual agreement of the coaches.
