Hundreds of punks fought with each other and with police in the streets of south London after a Saturday night concert by a punk rock band named Conflict, Scotland Yard said Sunday. Six police officers were injured and 52 people were arrested, most of them being charged with disorderly behavior. The Yard said about 500 white youths were involved in the clashes in the Brixton district, scene of rioting and arson in fighting with police by mixed mobs of white and black youths in 1981 and 1985. Police said the trouble started as an audience of 3,500 left the Academy Theatre after the Conflict show.
