Thousand Oaks Hurdler Sets a Meet Record

Led by the meet-record performance of Thousand Oaks hurdler Staci Leach, Valley-area athletes won five events Saturday at the Mt. Carmel Invitational in Poway.

Leach won the 100-meter low hurdles with a personal-best 14.19 seconds and placed fourth in the 300-meter low hurdles with a 46.90.

Leach’s teammate, Sharon Manship, won the 300 hurdles (44.76).

Notre Dame’s Tom Parker won the pole vault (15-6), Campbell Hall’s Crissy Mills the high jump (5-4) and Royal’s April Broussard the long jump (a wind-aided 18-2).
