BEIJING — China, whose centuries-old reputation for fine eating has suffered somewhat during decades of political turmoil, has set up a National Cuisine Assn., the official New China News Agency said Friday.
The report, quoting Lin Zepu of the association’s organizational committee, said the group will include outstanding chefs, cooking instructors and nutritionists.
Lin said the association will “summarize cooking techniques over the centuries, do research on improving dishes and snacks, compile cookbooks and train chefs.”
