Fountain Valley-based FHP Inc. has restructured its management, creating a three-member Office of the President to run everyday affairs.
Dr. Robery Gumbiner, the company’s 64-year-old founder, will continue to serve as chairman of the board and chief executive officer. But effective this month, his responsibilities as president have been split among three managers, said Westcott Price, executive vice-president.
Gumbiner “wanted to provide for succession in the company, and spread the growing responsibility . . . so that day-to-day affairs would receive proper attention,” said Price, who added that Gumbiner is not contemplating retirement.
The three managers who share the new office are senior vice-presidents David LeSueur and W.W. Price, III, now executive vice-presidents; and Burke Gumbiner, former vice-president of marketing, who is now a senior vice-president.
