I love it.
On Page 48 of Calendar was Charles Marowitz and his snooty little summation of Artistic Director Gordon Davidson and the Mark Taper Forum (“The Taper at 20: Extraordinary, No; Interesting, Yes,” by Dan Sullivan, April 5).
Then in the Continuing Stage listings on Page 54 is the truncated version of Sullivan’s review of Marowitz’s production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” and his insightful comment that Marowitz plays with a very heavy hand in not trusting the audience to understand subtlety.
That’s where your nasty snobbish elitist cynicism gets you, Charley!
