Orange County Prep Baseball : Servite’s 4th Inning Leads to 8-5 Victory

Servite High School scored five runs in the fourth inning Thursday and defeated Chaparral of Las Vegas, 8-5, in the Sundevil baseball tournament at Chaparral High.
Second baseman Greg Coleman was 2 for 2 with two RBIs and Michael Robertson hit a bases-empty home run for the Friars (13-2). Chaparral, the fourth-ranked team in Nevada, is 9-5.
In the San Luis Obispo Easter tournament:
Ocean View 4, St. Ignatius 3 (8 innings)--Second baseman Steve Hernandez had three hits and saved a run in the seventh inning with an over-the-shoulder catch in right-center field as the Seahawks (11-4) won at San Luis Obispo. Mike Fyhrie (6-1) pitched an eight-hitter and singled in the winning run.
St. Ignatius, of San Francisco, is the defending champion. It had a runner on second in the seventh when Hernandez made the catch and helped send the game into extra innings.
Ocean View will play El Segundo tonight at 7:30 for the championship.
