Community College Baseball : James, Foley Lead Orange Coast Over Cuesta

Joey James was 2 for 4, including a two-run single in the third inning, to lead Orange Coast College to a 5-1 victory over Cuesta in a semifinal game of the Orange Coast baseball tournament Wednesday at Orange Coast College.
Jim Foley (8-1) pitched an eight-hitter for the Pirates (24-6). Brent Mayne was 2 for 4 with an RBI, and David Staton was 3 for 4.
The Pirates, second ranked in the state, will play top-ranked Cerritos in today’s final at 2 p.m.
In the other semifinal game:
Cerritos 18, Southwestern 3--Catcher Craig Wilson was 4 for 6 with two home runs and five RBIs to lead Cerritos at Orange Coast College. Cerritos is 26-4.
In the Ventura tournament:
Glendale 10, Rancho Santiago 6--Glendale had 10 runs on five hits in a third-round game at Ventura College. Four of Glendale’s runs were on passed balls. Rancho Santiago is 21-6.
