NCR Corp. of Dayton, Ohio, said its first-quarter profit rose 22% over the like 1986 quarter. The computer company attributed the increase to a broad growth in demand for NCR’s product lines, with the greatest increase coming in the United States. NCR noted that its Europe and Pacific groups also posted substantial gains.
